Are you between the ages of
14-25 and ready to move forward with employment? Employment Works'
Youth Initiative is designed to help young people with challenges to
employment not only get their first jobs, but be prepared for them as well.
Students
with disabilities are among the most underrepresented in challenging fields
of study and employment. Despite many efforts to integrate or rehabilitate
individuals into the workforce, the number of employed people with
disabilities remains lower than their able-bodied counterparts. Only 32% of
Americans with disabilities aged 18 to 64 are working, although two-thirds
of those unemployed would rather be working.
Participants of the Youth
Initiative are gaining experiences that are changing their outlook on
life!!!
